7월 22일 The lakes TripSo here i am again a year on from the adventures in Hrvatski. This year we have decided to cycle to the lakes...crazy yes I know but it really wasn't my idea honest!! ok so it was but i didn't think he would take me seriously. I think a low carbon footprint holiday, camping and cider sounds like a perfect combinaation especially as you could possibly camp anywhere you wanted without the hassle of a car park. guess its the potential for it actually being fun and having to go somewhere a bit daring next year. anyway in a week we will be off, panniers and all and my mum worring about me going on my bike..same old same old but we are looking forward to the time away from the no where near ready house and the small room we call 'home'. I think the fact i'm having a tooth out the day we leave really doesn't help either but I hope you will read this blog on this next crazy adventure of the suzster and her sidekick Nezster. Write agagin soon tatty bye xxx 9월 21일 neil is watching me and puttig me off....hello pink elephants and purple peas (just checking i neil is really reading this). we are currently sat in zagreb with anoher day of actually relaxing for a change. so i will do the days in chronolial order from the present day backwards and i will stop using silly long words for stuff cos i sound stupid.
today then...we got up pretty late an headed down to book ourselves on an excursion. we thought we would be going today to the plicivita lakes national park but there was not enough people so we had to wait until tomorrow. we headed down today to pay for it. we decided to go on an excuraion to avoid just catching buses and hitching rides with polish families. so then we headed to a technology museum where neil was in his element looking at machines and turbines and fire engines and stuff and i was trying to get to grips with working out the the captions and trying not to be bored...but it was pretty cool looking at all the old stuff mum would have been like ooooh i had one of those...he he only joking madre. so then we went to the bank to change our travellers cheques and ended up waiting in 3 queues in 2 seperate banks cos people kept telling us to do the wrong things arrrrgh! but we got there in the end and went and had an ice cream to make up for it. then we went to the national history museum which at the beginning i thought was going to be a bit rubbish for the worst sharks exhibition ever (although u did get to stand in a sharks mouth) but it had cases and cases of stuff like leeches and fish and birds and some amazing butterflys so was pretty cool.
so then we looked at the roof of a funny church and headed here. we will prob go for some munch in a min so have to be quick as eat only meat and sleepy boy is moaning.
yesterday we went to slovenia and i loved it...i know neil serectly did too. we went to ljibjana or somewher the capital city saw a roman ruin went to the castle on a pretend train (that was really a car in disguise) and walked in he old town. it was a lovely day and the river runs right through it. we had slovenian food and drank lots of fluids that only contained water in the form of ice and finished of the train home with a macdonalds so everyone was happy...the end...
..not realllyyyyyyy....was an ace day and after having to get up at 4.30 in the morning we were glad to get into bed. the day before that we didn't do much we wandered around town, ate pzza wandered around town some more and then neil had the bes steak ever and i had ham in tortellini that was really fish....the coratians ike to suprise you by putting stuff in your food that you didnt ask for. but we had another relaxing day...we didnt even have an all night rave with the local homies or anything, just another early night..all this walking does you in you know!
so this maybe the last time i write avid blog followers. will prob update it when we get back to lanc on tuesday to fill you in with us missing the plane and having to stay here forever or a ony from mars hijacking neil cos he ate to much meat, or me actuly turning into a hman pizza...all that fun is still to come in the normal everday lives of no mishaps or crazy happenings of suzie an neil.

sorry i have been a bit silly on this one...but im just in one of those moods
9월 18일 the big smokeArrived in Zagreb this afternoon, I apologise for the shortness of this blog but i just don't have much energy left to do anything. think i might need to have a holiday to recover!!! actually knowing me it will prob go on for ever and ever like the road i'm about to tell you about. Zagreb is pretty cool well what we've seen of it. hiked a couple of miles into the centre after a hairy journey to the bus station in zadar where about 20 school kids got on the bus with their luggage plus about 7 backpackers! not v comfy. got there just in time to get the bus to zagreb...ace timing or what. Yesterday we went to a national park to climb a mountain...not my idea of fun but neil like mountains uuuhh so he convinced me. we got to the station but the bus was not until 11am (we have a habit of doing that) and so waited around for an hour or so for the bus. when we got to the national park we stopped for some food just outside which was cool and we headed up off the road to the entrance...the road went on forever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and...well you catch my drift. then the path goes up and up and up and up and up and upetc but its not like a normal snowdon path its steps and rocks made out of karst (more geology boring stuff for those of u interested) and its eeeexxxttttrrreeemmmmly tiring.we even missed our turning for the mountain we were supposed to be going up and to be honest i'm a little bit glad. I think neil was a bit disappointed but where the arrow pointed looked like massive boulders and a scree slope so we weren't very convinced that that was the way!! spo we carried on for while and met a couple of girls we keep meeting along the way and they told us it was about an hour to the mountain hut so we carried on but i think neil got a bit dishearted that it wasn9t thr rugged terrain he was hoping for and so we decided to go back and catch the bus.the way down was soooooo hard it tired my legs right out. when we got back to he neverending road we were both feeling really tired and so headed off down the road in the rain. we asked the warden guy the bus time and he said 20mins so we headed off again at a faster pace and arrived at the stop just in time to catch the bus and i mean a couple of seconds later we could have missed it phew!! so we arrived back at the hostel very bedraggled had a well deserved pizza and then went to bed about half past 8 (this church chimed over 1 hundred times at like 2 in the morning tooooo how annoying, even more annoying that i counted it and so that kept me awaake sleepy boy missed it again). So here we are in a lovely little internet cafe after neil insisting a mcdonalds for lunch. but i get mexican for tea so thats good :) the apartment we are staying is lovely and for 30 quid a night we can't really go wrong as we are right next to the centre. Going to chill in the city tomorrow we think, head to slovenia on thursday on the 5.55 train eeek and then head to the lakes national park on friday. seems like this last week has gone really fast but we are both looking forward to a curry in the bombay balti next monday...yum yum. love to you all and we hope leanne and little wilbert are doing ok we can't wait to intorduce ourselves :oP. big hugs and love neil and me xxx 9월 16일 eventuallz find communication to the outside worldhello everyone..by the way the z and y keya are the wrong way ronund and i cant be bothered to fiddle around so every time you see a z its meant to be a y!!!
so we arrived in zadar this morning and it is very hot, we are due to book into the hostel at around 1pm so we are wasting a bit of time unfortunatelz not on the beach due to our backpacks so we scammed our way into this little internet place. so will write briefly whats happened as i have spent most of the time checking emails and facebook but ssshhhh don't tell neil! so on the 13th we went walking around the city walls its pretty scary up there to behonest but has fantastic views accross the old town! it was a very hot day and so several ice creams were need to cool down. we decided to splash out and have a few drinks in the evening which sonsited mainly of brandy whcih is 70p a shot with ice!! we also discovered a new card game to give neil a chance as i was beating him constantly at poo head but this new game is pretty hard so he has me on it but im making a slow come back!!
on firday we got up early and got to the bus station at 8am only to realise that the bus didn't come until 11am! but we had a sweaty cheese thingy for breakfast and chocolate and crisps to make up for it. the bus journey was a nightmare 6 hours of sweatyness as there was no airconditioning or blowy things to keep you cool. they also managed to fit over the capacity of people on it which made it even more hot! neil was accompanied by a larger ladies boobs an belly button on his head most of the way which i found incredibly amusing and brough up at every possibility...e.g are you looking at her boobs...and...i think your in there!!! ićm so mean....it was so hot outside and was torturous watching the people in the sea when we were sweating and breathing BO. we got to sibernik and missed the sunshine but we managed to bag ourselves a double bed...a luxury...and ate fanatastic pizza again to which neil hoped might turn into a steak at any moment.
the next day we got up early for a trip to the national park Krka for a trip to see the waterfalls. we nearly missed the bus as we were at the wrong stop but after travelling what seemed like the middle of no where we reached skradin which supposidly is one of the oldest towns in europe. we got on a boat with several hundred thousand other tourista and headed up the canyon to the falls. the scenery wasn't that amazing to be honest and i was a tad dissapointed but we reached the platform up river and made our way to the falls an neil denying some woman 4kn to go to the loo. the falls were cool, although i suppose i was expecing the niagrar falls with masses of water and a huge drop but there were just several different ones going up the river. the rock formation is pretty amaying though, but perhaps i will tell you that another time if your interested eh! the woods were pretty amazing, walking over the rivers and pools on wooden walkways and checking out the fish and plant life. neil tried to spt a turtle but i didn't happen and my 'did you see that turtle over there' and his 'where?, where?' didn't help matters ićm sooooo funny. we checked out an old working mill and had our lunch we had prepared earlierin the sun and wandred back doen to the base of the falls were neil had a swim and i chicken out cos i saw the skum on the top of the water and was scared of the biddies in the water eating me! I sis however see an otter which was amaying as i don't think i have ever seen a wild one before. we headed back to the plaform for our lift back and in skradin ran for the bus as we thought it was late...howver it turned out that it just wasn't coming and after wandering about with these kiwis for a while we decided a taxi maz not be the best option and so neil pleaded with a polish family to run us back to sibernik! trziing to speak polish to people who don't understand english though is pretty difficult and so after that ride we decided we may want to go to poland next year!!!
so with neil having a mixed grill for tea..he was very happy...we wondered to the old catherdral and frotress and headed back and had an early night. so today we arrived at zadar after having pizza for breakfast and so we are off to our hostel to bag a room. hopefully next time we write we will be in yagreb and are thinking of heading to slovenia for the day but i'm yet to convince neil that this is a good idea!!! anyway love to you all. see you in a week or so or maybe more depending on who's reading this.

suy and neil xxx 9월 12일 HELLLLLO LITTLE WILBERT!!!Firstly myself and neil would like to welcome WILLIAM aka wilbert to this wonderful world. i´m sure he will have lots of fun with his new uncle and auntie. CONGRATULATIONS to leanne and lee. we are looking forward to seeing the little tinker when we get home!!! passing on our love to you all.
Our journeys have been a little uneventful to be honest nnnnaaaaattttttt we r having an ace time. Split was fun we snorkelled and saw the old palace thingy. then yesterday we jumped on a bus and headed down to dubronik whic is where we are now in a little internet cafe about 30 sec walk from our apartment...yep i know we are on a budget but we managed to wangle ourselfs a double bed, ensuite shower and cooking facillities for 11 squidolies a night.....we are soooo ace. yesterday we got here and headed down to the old town to take a look and its rained!!!! i know on holiday and raining feels like we should be in wales or somewhere! anyway was pretty cool all the buildings are in this bright white stone ( i have even managed to surpass my geology tendancies to look at it in detail and stroke it). some of it was damaged in the war, which may i add i am getting a bit more clued up about. we decided not to go on the walls and we are staying an extra day to take all the wonder of it in (after the cruise ship tourists have left of course). we went to try some croatian food but i ended up being sick and having nastiness coming out of my bottom! he he he, sorry mum but its true. so we decided to stick to pasta and boght ourselfs some bolognese and pasta to cook the next night. The food here is very italian style but the fish is just as good.
in the lonely planet we came across a company called the adriatic sea kayaking tours and so decided to take a nosey we ended up booking ourselves onto a paddle and pedal tour around some of the islands. so this morning we set out all kitted up (although i was a bit aprehensive due to waking up to gale force winds outside last night of which super sleepman over here slept through) we met the guy and headed out on a ferry to one of the islands. here we kitted up and got in our kayaks even though i did get a bit grumpy...ok a lot then...about not being able to work my foot pedals!! but we set off was pretty cool seing the island get closer as we headed out but i think mr sleepy is feeling the burn..i on the other hand am completely shattered, anyway i´m getting off the point yet again. we landed at šipan and got on some bikes and pedalled to the other side of the island. it was so peaceful and the fields were full of orange trees. we reached the next town after going down an "EXTREME" downhill and sat down in a restaurant to fresh garlic fish and beeer ummm.....ut oh something isnt right here (im not putting apostrophies or what ever they are anymore as its a pain to work them out on this keyboard) so neil did not have a nice lunch really although the fish was pretty ace and prob the best i have had since ive been here all of 4 days, so neil wasnt a happy bunny. so we rode back to the kayaks and paddled back, by this time i was shattered and had to keep resting but we got back safe and even had the best ice cream ever its like cart dor but better and in a cone! so we made it back to a home cooked meal and our 1.70 bottle of wine (there isnt a pound sign key either) and here we are actually i think neil has fallen asleep..nope he is playing worms on his computer its not about digestive parasites either...sorry i will stop with the pooo already too many relatives reading this he he.
anyway best go as i have a chocolate bar with my name on it waiting for me and neil has to go to sleep.

9월 10일 Dobro vercerHelllooooo and greeting from croatia. finally we got her after missing our stop to change trains for the airport and spending too long in the macdonalds queue so we had to run to the departure gates!!!
Arrived in split to heavy cloud so it didn't look promising, with us not being able to find the hostel and having 2 hours sleep (after our comfy table chair beds in the airport) we weren't in the best of mooods...correction, i wasn't in the best of moods. we eventually rang the hostel and the guy cam to get us. Staying in a nice little hostel although the shower is a bit cold actually no its just cold. we decided to head down to the beach and hope the clouds cleared and we were right. the beach is a typical city beach, not much sand and concrete ledges were you can sunbathe. doesn't sound very promising but when the waters are turquoise and you can see the fish in the water its pretty amazing. neil has got at one with the fish life and has his snorkelling down to a fine art. me on the other hand still manages to get water up my nose (cos i'm breathing the wrong way out) and when i can't see anything i realise that actualy my goggles have steamed up. Was pretty funny today when neil found 10kn (£1) on the sea bed, then he realised it was actually his and he had lost 20kn but we found it in the end and i even managed to find an extra 3kn in the water through my steamed mask!!! winner!!
food is lovely ate a 14 inch pizza yesterday for 33kn which is about £3.30 and neils caj or tea came in a herbal form!!! he he he. think he is missing his tetly a little bit :). This evening we ate fresh fish from a harbour restaurant and had an ice cream walking along the prom. we have been eating very well, although for some reason for lunch we decided to make our own sandwiches....crazy i know my olives got smashed, we didn't have knife to spread the cheese and the other cheese was broken up into chunks yum yum. we were relying on our crisps as a upllift to the sandwich but mine were peanut flavour (why not just buy peanuts!!) and neils were an immitation of frazzles which weren't very convincing.
did a bit of touristy stuff too (don't panic mum) and we went to the diolectian palace. a big palace which was from about 305 AD and still has people living in it, i even stroke a big guys foot (a statute of course) and neil climbed up a scary bell tower in his flip flops (i mean really who does that??) i ended up going into the mausoleum in shorts and a vest top, i wondered why everyone was looking at me when i came out and a big sign on the door said no skimpy things...oops.
tomorrow we r off to dubrovnik with the little knowledge of the croatian language we have and are relying on our gestures to get us by mainly pointing at things and saying urrr or nuurrr...but is fun all the same.
right gotta go drinking to be done as brandy is 60p a go!!!

xxxx 4월 3일 how happy am i :D.......hey peeps, sorry for all you avid followers of the blog i've been a bit quiet of late. Had a very hectic few months in work and very hectic weekends due to spending all my spare time with my new man!!!!
 yes hes is very lovely indeed i think i may have indeed met my match. he even thinks i'm funny..... and so far it has been lots of fun with fun trips and fun things. Met him through this mountain bike club i joined, knew there was i reason why i put myself through the pain every week ;) but its all going amazingly well and i am very very happy!!! :DBeen on a few rides now which have been fun not so much the up hills but the down hills. went to scotland the other weekend with nem and gaz. was ace originally it was just me neil and nem but we text gaz when we were up there and he came to meet us from edinburgh. we camped by the sea drank lots of cider did fire poi, played on several playgrounds drove around places and wore comedy hats and sun glasses!!! its was ace. check out some of the photos on www.allat1stop.co.uk.
last weekend i went ot catch up with a couple of the girls from uni, it was a very messy night which consisted of lots of dancing and sambucas mixed wth cider, more dancing, drinking, talking rubbish and generally just thinking of days gone by!!! arrr those werethe days when i could drink 8 pints and still have room for food and more drink!!! but i did damn well considering i haven't been out on a proper night out for ages and ages amen.
nothing much planned (i am soooo lieing) going to snowdon at the end of this month with a few of the guys and bikes, i'm very scared at the mo i'm still very slow and unfit and the others are like super biker people. neil could prob lap me about 3 times!!!! but its fun all the same and should be a good laugh. Then in june its the famous 3d reunion which is going to be ace central as this time its in devon and its in JUNE whooo hooo. great am looking forward to that!! proper cider and everything yum yum!!! Then its off to croatia neil hasn't done much travelling and i haven't seen eastern europe so we are going to start in split and work our way up to zagreb so thats all very exciting but thats in september and lots of saving to be done before then!! Hopefully i'm moving into a new room next monday but there has been some major issues as the guy hasn't moved out yet but looks hopeful anyway this weekend. Easter is going to be fun, riding on fri then sat and then a bbq and then home for a couple of days on sun and mon so that should be cool.
well best go as i'm in work and considering my diet started today i'm not doing very well on the whole hunger pang thing so will have to make myself some soup or something ( i have half a mars bar left too thats not good!!)
